As of 2026, Community Empowerment for Creative Innovation (CECI Uganda) has officially moved its HEAD OFFICE to its newly built office building located at Mereba Road, Adakada Cell, South Division, Koboko Municipality, Koboko District.
Built on its own land with a wall fence, CECI Uganda’s new office will save CECI UGX 9,726,000/- spent yearly on rent so it can invest it directly into programs serving the refugee and host communities it works with. It also means a better space for its team to work, a safe space for its female staff, and a permanent home for CECI Uganda.
Since May 2017, when CECI began, CECI Uganda has made every effort to invest in the sustainability of not just its programs but the organization itself. CECI Uganda’s new office is one of such efforts, and with it, CECI Uganda expects its programs and impact to grow stronger as it continues to empower more youth, women, and girls in preventing violent conflicts, building resilience, and rebuilding their livelihoods.
CECI Uganda moving into its own building is a testament to the power of localization in empowering refugee-led organizations like CECI Uganda to become more sustainable. We hope you can visit CECI Uganda at its new location, and continue to work with CECI Uganda to deliver its 5-year strategic plan to empower 500,000 people by 2029 through support for education, improving food security and livelihoods, building peace, protecting the environment, and expanding access to clean energy.
